seeing green - the night tree portrait project
Exploring the forest at night with a camera
In the past year I have started to clear the forest that surrounds my home of the honey suckle that has taken over. Years and years of neglect has resulted in some plants up to 4 inches in diameter and 30 feet tall. With these plants gone the forest has opened up and I have begun to explore it with my camera—at night taking portraits of the most interesting trees I find. Some of the photos are shown here and are the start of a year-long project.
