The goat shed – Priene, Turkey

I painted this image while sitting on a dirt road in the tiny village of Priene in western Turkey. As I sat here and painted this goat shed a woman passed me walking up the road. She glanced at my work as she passed. In about an hour she returned, her apron filled to overflowing with peppers. She handed me three and gave me a great big smile and a thumbs up and walked on down to the village. I ate one pepper and it was so sweet. Ate the next and it was so hot I almost drank the water from my painting water bowl. Ouch.
