Thinking back to October 10, 2018 / Turkey

On Oct. 10, 2018 I went to Turkey by boat from the island of Samos. The setting sun was brilliantly bright and golden fading to intense reds and oranges as it set and cast its light across the sea. The sea that day was deceptively active. It looked so calm but as we got closer to Turkey the huge rolling swells caught the ferry and rocked the boat! For me I enjoyed the movement. Others onboard we close to terrified and when we set foot on the dock they were so relieved. I wanted the voyage to continue. So I have created an image of that voyage so it can continue each time I look at this painting.
