Summer of film

I spent a month earlier this summer in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho and took along two film cameras and no digital camera. The process of shooting film slows everything down and makes me take the time to look more closely, search for the best light, the best compositions, and enjoy the entire process (shooting and processing). The 35mm black and white images are all shot from a 25 year old 100’ roll of film I found last year and have been rolling my own rolls from that. Crazy that after sitting for 25 years the roll is still good. The rest of the images are medium format—a combination of color and black and white. The 35mm images shot with a Nikon F3 with a 50mm lens. The medium format all shot with a Mamiya C330 with a 80mm lens. All film processed in my kitchen, scanned into Lightroom and processed with the plugin Negative Lab Pro.
