Travels west with a camera

There is nothing quite like a bit of travel by car and it is far better with your favorite film camera(s). I had the opportunity last summer (2023) to do a bit of travel around the northwest —with a short visit to Yellowstone and the Tetons, a bit of time in northern Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. I took with me my trusty medium format—Yashica Mat 124 G and my Nikon F3 for the 35 mm shots. Weather in Yellowstone for most days was cloudy and drippy—kept the crowds away and in some moments the light was just right to bring out all the colors. Other times just dark. But no matter where you go you can find the good light, the good textures, patterns, and images to capture on film. Once back it was develop, develop, scan and more scans. All to get the images to life on the screen. I have posted some of the images here. Looking forward to the next trip out west with lots more film and no agenda—just time to wander.
